South Shore Fishing
Lake Nipissing is well known for it’s wide variety of fish. The lake is large in size and population of fish. Species you can expect to find are Walleye (Pickerel), Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass and Muskies (Muskellunge), Largemouth Bass, Jumbo Perch, White Fish and Ling.
The Lake winds and elements can become difficult at times but nothing you cannot handle with the proper gear. Ice hut or portable hut accommodations is highly recommended unless weather determines else wise. In the South Shore you can expect to catch Walleye (Pickerel), Northern Pike and Jumbo Perch. You can also catch other fish but these three will be what you see most around these parts.
